Overview
Hatch self-sealing sterilization pouches, 3.5" x 9", are a versatile size for hand instruments and handpieces. Made for steam and EO gas sterilization, each pouch has a puncture-resistant, transparent film laminated to durable medical-grade paper, with a self-seal strip: peel, fold at the perforation and press. 200 pouches per box.
Usage and compatibility
- Methods: Designed for steam (vapour) and ethylene oxide (ETO) sterilization systems.
- Chemical indicators: Printed on each pouch, they change colour during sterilization to show the pouch has been processed.
- Validation: Use process indicators together with routine biological indicators (spore tests) to verify sterilization.
- Sterility maintenance: When properly sealed, sterility is maintained for up to two years, provided the pouch stays dry, undamaged and unopened.
Storage and loading
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place between 15 and 30°C (59 to 86°F) at 40 to 70% relative humidity.
- Loading: Stand pouches on edge in a pouch rack if possible, with the plastic side of one pouch facing the paper side of the next. Do not overload the sterilizer.
- After sterilization: Make sure pouches are visibly dry before removing them from the sterilizer.

Local Pickup
You can pick up your order from our warehouse at 4181 Sladeview Crescent, Unit 50 and 51, Mississauga, ON L5L 5R2. Choose Pickup at checkout. We will contact you when your pickup is ready. It usually takes 3 to 4 business days.
