Oil-free dental air compressors and suction from Cattani, supplied across Canada by Hatch Group. The Cattani AC 200 suits 2 dental units and the AC 300 suits 3, each with a built-in air drier and an antibacterial HEPA H14 filter, while the twin head AC 400 with 2 air driers and a 100 litre tank covers 4 to 5 units.
Pair your compressor with the Cattani Turbo-Smart HP dry suction, inverter controlled for up to 4 surgeries at once, and the MARS LibertyBOSS amalgam separator, which removes over 99% of amalgam. Request a quote with your number of chairs and we will recommend the right unit. See all dental equipment.

Cattani sizes its oil-free compressors by the number of dental units working at once: the AC 200 for 2 units (160 Nl/min), the AC 300 for 3 units (238 Nl/min) and the AC 400 for 4 to 5 units (320 Nl/min), all at 5 bar. Choose a unit with spare capacity so the air drier can regenerate and the pump can cool between cycles. Tell us how many chairs you run and what else uses air, and we will recommend a model.
An oil-free compressor has no lubricating oil in the cylinders, so there is no oil to carry over into the air lines, handpieces and instruments. Cattani pistons run without oil, and Cattani says 40 years of research show an oil-less compressor can be more reliable than an oil bath design. Cattani is ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified.
Moisture in compressed air can reach handpieces and instruments. The drier cools the air in a heat exchanger, a cyclone removes the first condensate, and a silica gel column dries the air before sintered bronze and HEPA H14 filters. At the end of each cycle, dry air flows back through the column to regenerate the silica gel and push the condensate into a collection bottle, all automatically.
Standard units are rated 71 dB(A) for the AC 200, 73.6 dB(A) for the AC 300 and 73 dB(A) for the AC 400. A noise-reducing plastic cover cuts about 10 dB(A) and fits all three. The soundproof cabinet cuts about 20 dB(A) and fits the AC 200 and AC 300.
Cattani recommends a plant room that patients and untrained staff cannot enter, kept between +5 °C and +35 °C, with a mandatory earth connection, a floor drain and no flammable materials stored nearby. Above 35 °C the air drier works less well and the compressor wears faster. A trained technician should install and test the unit, and Cattani recommends a closed loop of insulated copper pipe to keep the pressure steady and the air clean.
Yes. Hatch Group supplies Cattani compressors, suction units and amalgam separators to dental clinics across Canada. Request a quote with your clinic's location and number of chairs, and we will confirm the right model, noise option and delivery.
